Cuss at the Judge, Learn a lesson

Coming from a guy who calls himself the Fu.King.Preacher, maybe a talk about when the right time to use profanity seems a little outta place, but the voices in my head say that we need to talk about it.

One thing is for sure, when you are standing in front of the judge and about to get sentenced is not the right time to drop the F bomb! Watch this shocking video...

As you can see from the video, when the girl flips the bird and says, "fuck you" to the judge, the damage had already been put into place. There was a total lack of respect for the court and the judge from this prisoner.

This is how it is in society today. Too many times, people forget that there is a proper time to show respect for those who are around you.

When I get ready to do a video or a talk, where I know that there is a good chance that I might use profanity, I try to put an R Rating on the video right from the start. Cuss words really don't have a lot of power or matter a hill of beans in the kingdom of God anyway.

You see... if you're in a fire station, mechanic shop, military barracks or locker room, you are likely to hear a few four letter words. Those words, used in the right way, are not cursing anyone.

If I see a long lost buddy and say, "Hey you fucker! How have you been?" With both arms out wide looking for a hug and a smile on my face, then I haven't done a thing wrong.
On the other hand, if I'm telling someone that they can go ahead and be dammed to Hell, well then we have crossed into some sinful situations.

But back to our friend in the orange jumpsuit.
She thought that this whole show was a joke, until the words "Criminal Contempt" were explained to her and what might happen to her life if she were to be convicted of a felony charge.
Watch her apology right here...

The same is true of us in many situations. You won't be hearing me using the word "God Dxxx." I don't even want to type it out. That is because I want to show respect to my Lord and Father in Heaven. It is because of respect that I try not to use curse words in front of my wife or in front of women and children.

If we make a habit of using cuss words when speaking with our spouse, when things start to get heated in an argument, it is way to easy for misunderstandings to occur. Plus, if a "Fuck you" gets thrown out during one of those arguments, that is usually when pots and pans start getting thrown around the house and nobody wants that!

Seriously, cuss words really just dumb down what we are saying most of the time, but I don't see any of us in society completely abstaining from them anytime soon. Believe me when I tell you that I've been around preachers and pastors that have used "dirty" words when they weren't in front of the congregation.

We can call a spade a spade and call someone out when they are spouting bullshit, just remember to do it when you are in the right company!

I hope this makes a little bit of sense to you.

Keep Calm, Love God and G.O.Y.A.!

  1. I've been to the Letterman show twice, and each time, before the show started taping, David Letterman came out to the front of the stage for a quick Q & A with the audience, and each time he included some cussing... I think his goal is for the audience to realize he's just a guy, another human being, and he talks like we do.

I've often said that if we can recognize anger, that we're getting angry, we can then rationally decide to postpone reactions and decision-making based on whatever triggered our anger. Speaking vulgar words or hateful words can be avoided if we recognize that we're starting to get angry, and take a break. Walk away. Take the dog for a walk.

Another solution is to never be around other human beings, but that's a sucky solution. :-)
