Hello Kitty Slippers Makes Everything Better

Hello Kitty Slippers

Learn to Make Your Dreams Come True

Hello Kitty!!! I checked out this photo for authenticity as well as I could and it is valid. Eight months ago, this little beauty walked around the hospital floor within less than 24 hours of having open heart surgery. You can read the comment from tattoodevil and see that she said her Hello Kitty slippers make everything better.

There is something about the innocence in her reply and they beauty of her little face that jumps right into my heart and gives it a squeeze. I just want to thank God for the surgeons and nurses that had the skill set to make this surgery so completely successful. I also want to thank God for the years of college that those folks went through that prepared them for that procedure on that day. I want to thank God for the breakthroughs in medical science, the invented medical instruments, the administration of the hospital and the construction workers who laid the floor in the operating room. Most of all I want to thank God, because He knew that less than 24 hours before his little creation put on her Hello Kitty slippers and stood in the hall for this picture, she was going to need to have all of those other things in place for her surgery to be successful.

Thank you God that it is your infinite knowledge that holds this whole place together and thank you that it was You that did all of the healing that day!

God loves you more than you can imagine! Even right now, He is using some guy, some where, to type this message into a computer and post it so that YOU CAN KNOW THAT YOU ARE LOVED!

I'm proud to say that I am a 43 year old, Ex-Captain Firefighter, Preacher and father, and I will have some Hello Kitty slippers before Christmas is over. I can wear them with my furry hat and God will make everything better!

Keep Calm, Love God and G.O.Y.A.,

G.O.Y.A. and Help Someone!

G.O.Y.A = Get Off Your Ass

What's up my peeps? Today I want to let you in on some history from Body of Christ Ministries. You see, the Fu King Preacher isn't just a wind bag telling everybody what to do and how to do it. We are out there in the community sharing the love that God has shared with us. The Ronald McDonald House of Galveston has been helping people for as long as I can remember. They provide families with a beautiful place to live while their loved ones are undergoing treatments at nearby University of Texas Medical Branch. Many of these patients come from Mexico and have suffered from horrendous burns over much of their bodies. As the scars begin to heal, they also begin to harden and without physical therapy and further surgeries, these children would lose the ability to move their extremities at all.

Our first outreach to the RMH and their guests began with a raffle for a beautiful diamond cross. The proceeds from that raffle provided enough funds to purchase soft plush dolls from Discovery toys.
When the necklace was paid for, we had enough funds to purchase 19 plush dogs for the children.
We called RMH and they said that they had 15 children as their guests at that time. The day that we arrived with the plush dogs, 4 new children had just arrived. God gave us the exact amount!

Here you can see my wife Donel giving the dogs to the many children.

The Plush Dolls had very limited stuffing in them and no zippers or sharp edges.
This is so important because those edges could tear delicate skin.

The mouths of the plush dogs were open and the children could stuff toys or books inside the dogs mouth to use it as a carrying device when traveling to and from doctors appointments.

Here we can see all of the children that God allowed us to be a blessing to that day.

That's me in the middle, when my hair was a lot shorter and I was beardless! I can remember what a great feeling it was in the house that day! Just enough for everyone!

It is amazing the way that God can take the efforts of a few and bless so many. Get out there and do something good for others around you. God will bring those blessings back to you one hundred fold!

Keep Calm, Love God, Carry on and G.O.Y.A.!

Shocking Video Of A Preacher Who Says Cuss Words!

Preacher Who Says Its Ok To Use Cuss Words

What's up Mother fuckers!!! Oh shit! I think half of the bitches that just clicked on this link have just shit their pants and are gone before I drop the explanation for all of those expletives. And by Mother Fuckers, I meant it in the most affectionate way, like... My Homies or My brothers!

I've been called to the ministry since 1999 and went through seminary and have a piece of paper and a ring (Big Deal). The decision to go ahead and use the same words that the rest of the world uses was easy as long as I thought no one else was listening, but to come right out and say "fuck" while preaching about the Love of God? That took a little more prodding from the Holy Spirit. By the way, all of the holy rollers are digging through their Bibles right now to point to scriptures that tell me how wrong I am, so let's help them right along.

Actually, I have to give credit to a guy that has always impressed me in his walk with God and he was the first one to have a conversation with me about the cussing. So, here are a few of the scriptures that he brought up to discuss with me...

Ephesians 4:29

"Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen."

To use cuss words in the completion of a sentence doesn't really have anything to do with relating to the content whether it is wholesome or unwholesome. From the link, you can look at the definition and tell me...
If my long lost friend is walking towards me and I say, "Hey you fucker! How have you been?", while giving him a hug, Is that unwholesome? Now, we know that when you see someone stealing your hub caps and you yell, "Don't move you mother fucker!" that this isn't our best and most wholesome moment. I'll let you decide what words that you want to use during that situation.

1 Peter 3:10

"For whoever would love life and see good days must keep his tongue from evil and his lips from deceitful speech."

James 3:9-12

"With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in God's likeness. Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers this should not be. Can both fresh water and salt water flow from the same spring? My brothers, can a fig tree bear olives, or a grapevine bear figs? Neither can a salt spring produce fresh water."

So, dealing first with deceitful. If you clicked on the link, you can see that unless you are using the word BULLSHIT to actually bullshit someone, then saying bullshit isn't really faltering according to this scripture. Now, we should definitely keep our tongues from bullshit because that is just gross. AND I agree that we also need to keep our tongues from evil, but unless I am preaching something that is truly against God, I don't think that a cuss word qualifies as evil. There are some words that women would say qualify as evil and I advise you my brothers not to direct the four letter word that begins with a "C" has "un" in the middle and ends with a "T" at your wife or girlfriend in a fit of rage or you may experience true evil in its most raw form. (i.e. pots and pans flying at your head!)

Moving on to James 3:9-12:

If you are driving in heavy traffic and get cut off by a guy in a great big truck and you yell out, "Holy fucking shit!" I don't think that you are violating this scripture. Now if you floor the gas and make your way around to the driver side window of that truck, where the driver can see you (granted you will have to get his attention away from his phone and texting) and say, "Fuck you buddy!", then we have to look at your intentions. If your intention is to wish for him to have a lovely night of sex with his wife, then your still okay. On the other hand, if you are intending for him to be bent over and pounded unwillingly by an NFL lineman, then you have crossed the line and I think you can consider yourself to have made a boo boo where this scripture is concerned.

So, just for clarity, let's not "Curse" people, regardless of the words we use to do it. You would be just as wrong in the last situation if you had said, "I hope that fine gentleman finds his way down the road and right into a telephone pole!" That would definitely be considered a curse. No No! Don't curse people.

Now, regardless of the words that you use and the sins that you commit, there is only one thing that you can do that will really screw you up for eternity and it was Jesus who pointed it out...

Mark 3:28-29

New International Version (NIV)
28 Truly I tell you, people can be forgiven all their sins and every slander they utter, 29 but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven; they are guilty of an eternal sin.”

Jesus says that you will be forgiven "every slander they utter".

Those who are so shocked and concerned that I use cuss words when I preach, don't have the most basic understanding of what the important message is... Believe in Jesus and the One who sent Him! If you Deny the Holy Spirit and deny the Son of God, then you grieve The Holy Spirit. By your denial, the Lord Jesus is required to deny you before His Father. When that happens, you must account for each and every sin that you have ever committed. Your defense, no matter what it is, will never be good enough to cover your multitude of sins. Therefore, Your loving Father, your Creator, must banish you to an eternal death without Him. This place of banishment has been referred to as Hell or Hades, but you only need to imagine being removed from the presence of the one true God. God is the One who holds all of your cells together. He has been with you from the moment of your creation. You have never experienced what it is like to be without God. Even in the height and midst of your worst moments, God was there. If you deny Jesus, there will come a time when you are removed from the presence of God. That will be the most horrible existence that anyone could ever  imagine. Truly, it will be so horrific that it cannot be imagined.

Don't wait to accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior. No man knows the number of their days. Accept Jesus now and say in your heart,

Jesus I believe that you are the Son of God and that You died on the cross for me and my sins and that I am forgiven. I believe that you rose from the grave and that I will live with you in Heaven for eternity when I die. Thank you for saving my life!

If you said this prayer, you are forgiven of all of your sins, past, present and future. You are saved! Jesus said, "It is finished!" Nothing can ever separate you from God again!

Romans 8

New International Version (NIV)

38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,[k] neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

In conclusion, if you are still tripping because I said a few cuss words, then go somewhere that the message of God can get through to you. By the way, Don't you dare watch network television, PG-13 rated movies or higher, Don't ever go to a comedy club, Don't listen to any secular music or radio stations. Basically you might want to  put ear plugs in for the rest of your life so as to protect your virgin ears.

So now you know,

Keep Calm, Love God, G.O.Y.A.!

Blankets for Ronald McDonald House of Galveston

Alright peeps, It's high time I let you in on what has been going on in the outreach area of our ministry. We have had a great relationship with the Ronald McDonald House of Galveston for the past ten years.

From the time that we are old enough to chew, we know what a Big Mac is, but...

No, I'm not talking about the Fast Food Golden Arches!
(Although, I am really hungry for a Big Mac!)

I'm Talking about the home in Galveston that provides a place to stay that is full of love for the families and patients that are receiving treatment at nearby University of Texas Medical Branch. Did I forget to mention that their stay there is completely FREE OF CHARGE! Many of these families are from poverty stricken areas in Mexico and have children that have suffered severe burns while tending cooking fires. The RMH is one of the most beautiful and loving places that I have ever witnessed.

Our most recent endeavor was to provide soft blankets for the residents to use when they travel to and from their treatment appointments. It was important to make sure that the blankets had no rough edges or sharp tags and that the felt material was light and very soft. We went to the internet to find just the right material and purchased as much as our budget would allow. Next our good friend Pam went to work sewing them all to the right sizes. The blankets were finished in either July or August, but we just knew it wasn't the right time to bring them up to the RMH.

(Pictured from left to right) Andrew Rourke, Donel Rourke, Trinity Rourke, Tristan Rourke, Carmen Molina (Bryan's Mom), Janie Puentes(Manager), Lidia Polio, Graciela Estrada and Frances Estrada

December 12, 2013 was the right day! When we got there most of the patients were at the hospital receiving treatments, but Bryan Silva and his mother were there and they were very grateful for the blankets. Bryan said that many times it is cold in the waiting rooms and these soft light blankets would work very nice. Amazingly, the house relies mostly on donations from members of the community for many of the smaller needs. When we arrived with our blankets, the house only had two blankets left in the pantry!

God's timing is perfect!

So, the message to all of you out there is...

Sometimes Christmas Sucks!

Sometimes Christmas SUCKS!

I love Grumpy Cat. He is always the same. I wish my mood swings were as still as that! Seriously though, I want to talk to those folks out there who are grinding their teeth through their smiles. Christmas can be a tough time for anyone. A Lot of times we look around the room only to find that many of our best friends and close family are gone. Many times we are faced with death just before or even during the Christmas season. The gifts for our loved ones are still wrapped and under the tree, but they will never be opened.

The pain that is ripped out of our chests every stinking time, "I'll be home for Christmas" is played is outrageous and often times unbearable. I think that half of the time, song writers are just sadistic little fucks that know exactly what they are doing when they write those crappy lyrics down! Just tugging on the heart strings...

 "I'll be home for Christmas.
 You can count on me.
 Please have snow
 and mistletoe
 and presents under the tree.
Christmas eve will find me
where the love light gleams
I'll be home for Christmas...
If only in my dreams!

I was surprised to find out that suicide rates are not higher during Christmas...

People are most likely to commit suicide around Christmas time. False. Contrary to popular belief, the suicide rate peaks in the springtime, not the wintertime. This is probably because the rebirth that marks springtime accentuates feelings of hopelessness in those already suffering with it. In contrast, around Christmas time most people with suicidal thoughts are offered some degree of protection by the proximity of their relatives and, at least in the Northern Hemisphere, the prospect of 'things getting better from here'.

I can say that I have had some rough times around the Christmas season, but things have always seemed to get better. I believe that a lot of relief actually comes from thinking about others before thinking about myself. I love going out and shopping for my family and friends. I love the anticipation of giving the gifts to them and hoping that they will be pleased. Even during times when our finances were in the bottom of the dump, extra money or great deals would find there way into our lives.

Christmas itself is about the greatest gift that has ever been given. It is one thing to give someone your shirt when they are cold or let them borrow your car if they need to go somewhere. A good friend might even take a punch in a bar fight for his buddy. But it takes an immense amount of Love to actually give up your life for your friend.

This is a picture of "Old Sparky." It is in the Texas State Prison Museum now. 356 men sat down in this chair alive but were taken out dead! Let's say that your best friend got caught up in some crazy shit and got arrested and convicted of a double homicide. The judge brought in the sentence and it is the death penalty. Now this is your best friend from the time you were babies. Would you sit down in "Old Sparky" in his place? What if it was your mother or father? Would you ride the lightning instead of them? That's a hard question to say yes to. But guess what...

That is exactly what our Father in Heaven did for us.

I know, I know, Y'all are saying, "what the hell is he talking about? This isn't Easter!" You're right. It's Christmas.

What Christmas really is about is the fact that the Creator of the universe and everything that is in it, came down from heaven in the form of a human baby. He was carried  in the womb of a virgin teenager. The Almighty Lord, who is Omnipresent (Meaning everywhere at once), confined himself to a human body and the womb of a child. He was born into poverty in the lowliest of places (a crap filled stable) and placed in a manger. All of this, knowing that one day His hands and feet would be nailed to a cross to be our substitute for sin and a sentence of the death penalty.

We have all been judged and the verdict is in. "All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God." We are condemned to an eternal death. We got the death sentence. But there is time for an appeal!!! Remember that friend I was talking about earlier? Well, Jesus is the One who came to take your place on "Old Sparky," Gallows, Guillotine and cross. He died so that we may live!

Those who have gone before us, those who understood this message and accepted their last minute appeal... they are celebrating Christmas in Heaven with God. We can find comfort in that. For those who are left behind... we have a choice to make. We can dwell on the loss and the failures of the past or we can set our eyes on the future and the true meaning of Christmas... It is a wonderful life! It is, because, He loves us so!

When the nights are lonely and the pain seems like it is more than you can bear, there is One who is always with you to bring you comfort. He is the One who was there in the beginning. He is the One who will always be. He is the One that has known you from the beginning, because He formed you with His own Holy Hands. He is the One who took a savage beating in your place. He is the One that they spit on and cursed at. He is the One who took the nails in His hands and feet and took a spear in His side. He is the baby in the manger and He is the Victorious Risen Lord who emerged from the tomb after three days! He is the friend that is the best friend that you will ever have.

He has a gift for you and it is wrapped in an unending Love. Why don't you unwrap it now, or will you wait till Christmas morning? Do it now! Let's see what it is? Oh Thank you Lord Jesus! It is the gift of Eternal Life with God! There is no greater gift than that! Will you accept it and watch your heart be healed?

Say this with me...

Lord Jesus I accept your Christmas gift. I believe that you are my Lord and the Son of God! I believe that you were raised from the dead and that you took my punishment for me.
Lord let me feel you in my heart and know that I am saved for eternity.
Thank you for loving me, even though I am a sinner.
I give my life over to you. That is my Christmas present to you!

If you said this prayer with me, there is nothing and no one that can ever take this away from you. This ain't no white elephant party (I always thought those sucked too!).

Please leave a message in the comments section if you accepted the gift, especially for the first time.

We love you guys. Keep coming back and I'll keep telling it like it is!

G.O.Y.A.,

Merry Christmas,

If You Cut Yourself, Know You Are Loved. You Are Not Alone

Beginning on December 15th, our family decided to participate in the lines project.
lines

This project seeks to bring awareness to those people who do self harm. There are many young adults in society that are suffering so much that they take razors and other sharp objects and make small incisions in their forearms. They are sometimes quoted as saying that they feel the pain to know that they are still alive. There is even mention of a cutter in the Gospel of Mark...

Mark 5:2–5

2 And when Jesus2 had stepped out of the boat, immediately there met him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit. 3 vHe lived among the tombs. And no one could bind him anymore, not even with a chain, 4 for he had often been bound with shackles and chains, but he wrenched the chains apart, and he broke the shackles in pieces. No one had the strength to subdue him. 5 Night and day among the tombs and on the mountains he was always crying out and cutting himself with stones.

Here we see in the Gospel of Mark that this man who was possessed by a demon, "was always crying out and cutting himself with stones." Jesus removed the demons from this man...

Mark 5:15 And they came to Jesus and saw the demon-possessed man, the one who had had the legion, sitting there, clothed and in his right mind, and they were afraid.

"Cutting" has affected our family, as well as, in our extended family, suicide. We choose not to stand by and do nothing as people around us are hurting so much that they feel that they are completely worthless. Many times you may be standing next to someone who feels that they have no worth at all. Will you just stand there?

By placing the lines on our wrists, we are sending a message to cutters and people suffering from depression that we care.
They do have great worth.
In the picture to the left, you see as I take a marker and draw the lines on my wrist. What is my daughter thinking as she watches her father? Will this memory emblazon itself on her mind and possibly help her in the future to remember how we took a stand for others who were hurting.

Will she remember that she, herself, has great worth and value as a human being?

I used to know an awesome church lady who was more than happy to tell you, "God don't make no trash!" God loves each and every one of us. We are His creation and He told us to treat our bodies as though they were a temple.
People will use those words from the Bible to condemn someone who cuts, but I mention it for the same reason that God did. God, our Father, is trying to let us know that we only have this one body to carry us through this life time. If we don't take very good care of it, it will wear out before He is ready to bring us home.

So, for all of you out there that think that no one cares about you... well... we love you enough to tell you that you are wrong.
This world can be a really shitty place to be sometimes.
I'll give you that. But you have to understand that you have some power that you are not using.

It's kind of like getting bullied everyday on the way to school, but you never tell your older brother about it. Everyday, some fat kid finds you on your way to school and punches you in the mouth and takes your milk money. You come home after school and don't tell him? TELL YOUR BIG BROTHER! That bully deserves an ass kicking! Look I'm just telling you like I see it.

The same thing goes with Jesus.
The bible tells us that when we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior, we become sons and daughters of the Lord.
That makes Jesus our BIG BROTHER.
Sometimes, when the world is serving you up a big old crap sandwich, you need to seek Big Bro Jesus on that fat kids butt. Let's see how fast his pudgy little feet will take him when he's running down the street away from our Big Bro!

Remember the guy from the bible story, "Legion." That was the name of the demon that was inside the man and making him cry and cut himself. Jesus sent Legion into a herd of pigs and they all ran off a cliff and died!

If you are feeling down and depressed and pissed at the world, God understands. Call on him before you start carving your name into the temple walls! Okay?

Cuss at the Judge, Learn a lesson

Coming from a guy who calls himself the Fu.King.Preacher, maybe a talk about when the right time to use profanity seems a little outta place, but the voices in my head say that we need to talk about it.

One thing is for sure, when you are standing in front of the judge and about to get sentenced is not the right time to drop the F bomb! Watch this shocking video...

As you can see from the video, when the girl flips the bird and says, "fuck you" to the judge, the damage had already been put into place. There was a total lack of respect for the court and the judge from this prisoner.

This is how it is in society today. Too many times, people forget that there is a proper time to show respect for those who are around you.

When I get ready to do a video or a talk, where I know that there is a good chance that I might use profanity, I try to put an R Rating on the video right from the start. Cuss words really don't have a lot of power or matter a hill of beans in the kingdom of God anyway.

You see... if you're in a fire station, mechanic shop, military barracks or locker room, you are likely to hear a few four letter words. Those words, used in the right way, are not cursing anyone.

If I see a long lost buddy and say, "Hey you fucker! How have you been?" With both arms out wide looking for a hug and a smile on my face, then I haven't done a thing wrong.
On the other hand, if I'm telling someone that they can go ahead and be dammed to Hell, well then we have crossed into some sinful situations.

But back to our friend in the orange jumpsuit.
She thought that this whole show was a joke, until the words "Criminal Contempt" were explained to her and what might happen to her life if she were to be convicted of a felony charge.
Watch her apology right here...

The same is true of us in many situations. You won't be hearing me using the word "God Dxxx." I don't even want to type it out. That is because I want to show respect to my Lord and Father in Heaven. It is because of respect that I try not to use curse words in front of my wife or in front of women and children.

If we make a habit of using cuss words when speaking with our spouse, when things start to get heated in an argument, it is way to easy for misunderstandings to occur. Plus, if a "Fuck you" gets thrown out during one of those arguments, that is usually when pots and pans start getting thrown around the house and nobody wants that!

Seriously, cuss words really just dumb down what we are saying most of the time, but I don't see any of us in society completely abstaining from them anytime soon. Believe me when I tell you that I've been around preachers and pastors that have used "dirty" words when they weren't in front of the congregation.

We can call a spade a spade and call someone out when they are spouting bullshit, just remember to do it when you are in the right company!

I hope this makes a little bit of sense to you.

Keep Calm, Love God and G.O.Y.A.!

Haters Got To Hate

Haters Got To Hate know Matter What You Do

Who is the next Jack ass that is going to try to shoot down your dreams or ridicule you because you are different? Brooks Bergman didn't think about how he would look when he was preparing for the $100,000 Dr. Pepper Tuition Giveaway. He was a man on a mission.

Brooks isn't a football quarterback and I don't know if he even plays any sports. What I do know is that Brooks Bergman is a survivor. He fought and beat Leukemia when he was age 3! Since that time, it has been his dream to help others who are fighting cancer.

Brooks needed tuition money to go into medicine and the oncology field. Dr. Pepper designed a contest.

Brooks spent hours in his back yard experimenting on how to become most proficient at the task before him.  He did! The video is impressive and so is his victory!

18-Year-Old Cancer Survivor Invents A New Way To Throw A Football, Wins $100,000

TONY MANFRED

Deadspin.com reported on this story with this headline,

"This Dude Just Won $100,000 Throwing A Football Like An Asshole"

Here is their article from Sean Newell...

Same story, but two different ways to look at the achievement. Here's the important fact though, Brooks WON THE COMPETITION! He will be going on to medical school paid for by Dr. Pepper.

What I find interesting are the comments. Totally hilarious actually. One person created a Haiku to express his feelings.

Erg commented:
A prolate spheroid.
A target: large, round, and dark.
Enter the asshole.

Bong hits for Tebow commented:

I'll have to take your word for it, Sean. I don't really know anything about the correct motion for throwing an asshole.

1 Peter 4:12-13

"Dear friends, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal that has come on you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you. But rejoice inasmuch as you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed."

I have learned this much. Anytime that you genuinely attempt to serve God, evil will raise it's ugly head against you. It really isn't just when serving God either. The saying, "Haters gotta Hate," is all to common nowadays.

Keep your head up and keep on throwing that ball in whatever way brings you success. The Jack asses that are all whinnying at you are standing behind the fence and watching the show as it goes by!

Keep Calm, Love God and G.O.Y.A.!
