FuKing Preacher offered Meth at McDonalds in Galveston! The Rest of the Story

FuKing Preacher offered Meth at McDonalds in Galveston!

You may recognize this gentleman from a previous blog entitled,
"Fu King Preacher offered methamphetamine in Galveston."

This man approached me at McDonald's while I sat for a minute in the parking lot. He began to share his day with me and I didn't mind if I recorded his story for you guys. He was super happy about his visit with his daughter, Dana Oswold from Chicago. You can hear the joy in his voice as he talks about his daughter.

His perspective about the hotel that they stayed in was interesting, because to many of us a Springhill Suites would be as he said, "a ragged out hotel" but to him it was a "Kings palace." The fact that he is living on the streets or bunking in the Salvation Army makes a hotel like that a big step up.

As I continued to share the love of God with this gentleman, he gave me quite a shock when I was telling him of my experience and how I used to feel about drinking alcohol and cussing as it related to my relationship with God. I have to say that I was quite shocked when he offered me methamphetamine! Here is the rest of the video...

Does it surprise you to see him comparing an offer of illicit drugs or "Shooting Speed" to drinking or cussing? He wanted to use shock value to get his point across and that point is that Sin is Sin and that is why we have a Savior in Jesus Christ.

Now it is significant that this gentleman thinks that the sacrifice of Christ was not to release us from the law of sin and death but to release us from the curse of the law.

Romans 8: 1-2:

"Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death."

My conversation with this gentleman Brought me to the conclusion that he still felt great condemnation upon himself because of his previous sins and shortcomings such as continuing to smoke cigarettes and use cuss words.

My message to him and to you is that God loves you and he wants to have a relationship with you.

Be Blessed,

FuKing Preacher offered Meth at McDonalds in Galveston!

YOU WANT FRIES WITH THAT?

How would you react to someone saying this to you?
They walk up to you in a parking lot and start up a conversation about some little insignificant thing and the next thing you know you hear "13 GRAMS!"

Do you think that this man is going to Heaven?
Or do you think that he is damned to Hell because of his words?

Tell me what you think in the comments

Maybe you would take him up on his offer?
 I don't know?

Tomorrow I'll show you the rest of the conversation...

The Movie, "The Lone Survivor" Reminds Me That Freedom Comes With A Price

Thank You To All The Men And Women That Serve

Wherever you are when you read this post, brave men and women have fought and died for the freedoms that you enjoy on that land. I enjoyed that freedom last night with my family.

We all gathered around the table at Red Lobster and enjoyed a meal and then my son and I went to the movies to watch "The Lone Survivor", while my daughter and wife went back to the house to get some sleep.

Tristan, my 10 year old son, and I stood in line for quite a while waiting for the theater doors to open and we were not alone. The line started at the theater doors and snaked it's way the full distance to the exit. When we were given a green light we got in there and got the best seats in the house. Right in the middle.

The theater was packed. The movie was spectacular. The realism had me jumping out of my seat to take cover from incoming rockets. The writing gave us enough back story to make us really like the characters before us. We didn't need much back story on Al Qaeda to fill our bellies with anger. There was one scene that showed what it is like to live in an area that is not free but controlled by warlords.

As we watched the seal team in their furious fight to stay alive, it was as if we felt every hit and one that our heroic soldiers took as they fought for their lives. We watched as they comforted their brothers during the worst possible situations. They continued the fight never allowing the enemy to steal their dignity.

I believe this movie is going to be one of the most iconic military history fictional movies of our time. I have seen reviews by writers who question the number of Al Qaeda that were fighting against the four-man seal team. I have read as they questioned the accuracy of the story and it's telling. I have to say that that kind of writing is a load of bull shit. The movie is exciting. The story is enthralling. The cinematography is amazing in that it puts the audience into the action looking down the scope as the enemy is attacking!

I went into a movie theater on a Friday night with the expectation of being entertained. Before I left the theater, I found that I had been taught several lessons.

  1. The brotherhood that has the greatest strength can only be forged on the field of battle.
  2. Al Qaeda, Nazi Germany, Communist Russia, the warlords of Somalia and the multitude of evil groups of people throughout the world would seek to destroy all that is good and wholesome and right.
  3. The absence of men like Navy SEALs, Army Rangers and special forces, as well as all of those men and women who give up a part of their life to protect our country would allow destruction and chaos to cover the face of the earth.
  4. It is because of the Grace of God and the sacrifice of the American soldier that we as Americans can enjoy freedom.
Finally, this movie introduced me to a concept that I had not been aware of before.

That concept is: Pashtunwali (Pashtoپښتونوالی‎) and more specifically Nanawatai (asylum) - this is an ancient tradition of members of the Sabray tribe who took Marcus Luttrell into their village and gave him asylum. The tribal chief protected him, fending off attacking tribes until word was sent to nearby US forces and he could be rescuedokay can.

The way in which the movie portrayed the Sabray tribe as they fought to protect this American who was now a guest of their village, gave the audience a clear understanding that not all Arab people are without honor or should be hated. We found ourselves coming full circle from the thought that the Afghan people were our enemy to the understanding that there are good people in all nationalities and races and religions.

I challenge you, my friends and readers, to show your appreciation to the veterans and military personnel that you come in contact with. You have no idea what their eyes have seen or their hands have done in order to protect your liberty.

The next time you see a soldier in uniform at a restaurant with his family, catch the attention of the waiter and requests that the check of the soldier be delivered to your table. Whatever the cost of that dinner, it is nothing compared to the sacrifice that that soldier has made for your freedom.

Thank you to the American soldier. May God's protection be upon you at all times and His comfort be with you during the difficult ones. May God protect your families while you are away protecting ours.

God bless America!

Dig deep in the PLAY Jar!!!

Space City Comic Con - Galveston Island

This years major Christmas gift for our son, Tristan, came in the form of tickets to the Space City Comic Convention which was held at Moody Gardens on Galveston Island. You can see that my wife Donel and I made the effort to CosPlay with our son and I have to say that we had a very enjoyable time!

OOGIE BOOGIE from "Nightmare Before Christmas" took time to pose with our not so little camouflaged squirrel. That's right, Tristan is under that Ghillie Suit and Squirrel Head!

Here you can get an idea of the size of this event on Sunday, the final day.
The Banquet room floor was filled with everything from Anime and Star wars

To a Happy Steam punk Minstrel.

Phil Snyder is the Official Voice of "Jiminy Cricket"

and is the third actor to portray the famous little inspirational character!
Here he gives us an introduction as "Jiminy Cricket", but when he speaks of his little girl, Anastasia, his proud fathers voice takes the stage. He was positioned 50 feet behind his daughter on the banquet room floor, where he could keep a watchful eye on her at all times. Way to go dad!

Listen to Anastasia explain her creative process!!!

Thank you to Anastasia Snyder for taking the time to explain your creative process and displaying your wonderful works of "My Little Pony" art!
_________________________________________________________________

The Most disturbing and creative artwork was in the form of burnt plastic and precision molding and casting work.

These Zombie Barbie Dolls were hand made by the artist who explained the grueling process that he went through to create his vision. Through precision heat and the formation of intricate plastic work the artist created everything from teeth to entire skeletal sections. He said that he probably shaved a few years off of his life from the inhalation of toxic fumes while creating his beauties, but it was all worth it. Truly amazing, gruesome, creative and unique.

The "CosPlay" was amazing as these pictures show!

Cloud from "Final Fantasy" had his sword which was hand made and seven feet long! He was accompanied by a female version of Jack Frost from "Rise of the Guardians"

Marvel Comic book characters Storm and Spider man stopped for a picture... Thanks alot Spidey! It took me thirty minutes to get the web cleaned off of my costume!!!

I found Batman watching a first release episode of "More than Humans." He was in a fantastically detailed hand made and molded plastic battle costume. He seemed a little run down, but I later found him loading back up on some high octane "Monster" Energy drink. I never would've imagined Batman using a straw!

Gender is no bother during CosPlay! Here are some examples... "Hellboy" in a female version complete with prosthetic horns and cigar in place. She is accompanied by a woman who loves all things "Doctor Who."

This Iron Man outfit was hand made from head to toe. In the video you can see the rotation of the over the shoulder Gatling Gun, illuminated eyes and power source!

At Space City Comic Con I ran into the Fairy Brothers, Dim N Wit! What a Hoot these guys were and we just loved them! Be yourself, Express yourself! Don't let anyone hold you down or block your imagination. The world is yours!

I love the way this picture turned out. The CosPlay Characters look like toy action figures. Pyramid Head in the middle is from the video game "Silent Hill" and you can see that his sword is over 6 feet long.

There really isn't anything groundbreaking about going to a Comic Convention. Nothing overly spiritual and I don't have any scriptures that I need to quote for you. What I do think is important to remind you about is... it is okay to play dress up every once in a while. It is healthy to reach into that Play Jar and spend some time with your family and have some fun. Blow off some steam and enjoy life!

Cop Shoots Down Robber

Cop Shoot Motorcycle Robber in Brasil

When this guy got up this morning and climbed onto his buddies motorcycle with his giant gun, he didn't count on the police officer witnessing his planned robbery.

If you watch the video closely, you can see that the police officer wasn't going to give the would be robber a chance for a shootout. The cop just aimed and fired his gun twice dropping the kid on the street.

Also, I didn't see the robbers partner in crime hanging around to help his buddy, did you?

What is your life worth and how are you going to spend the last moments of your life?
I feel sorry for this kid as he lay there in the street writhing in pain.
Can you imagine making that kind of a mistake?

I took a screen shot at 0:08 seconds into the video, you can see how young this robber really is!
There he is with the gun pointed in his victims face.
He is the aggressor there is no doubt.

The police officer was totally justified in gunning him down. But if you asked this young man if that motorcycle he was trying to steal was worth the bullet holes in his body, do you think he would say yes?

Any time that we choose to do what is wrong instead of what is right, we take the same chance this young boy took.
We could be shot down where we stand.
It might be figuratively, like losing your marriage or catching a DWI charge.
Nevertheless, it might put you in the position of lying on the ground with no help around.

I know, I know, this is the Fu King Preacher telling you this, but I'm only saying it because it is true.
When you do bad things, bad things happen to you.

If you screw up and break the law, you might get shot in the process or you might go to jail.

If you break God's law, you won't loose your salvation, but you more than likely will feel the consequences of your actions in this life.

So, when you get up in the morning and start making your plans for the day, why not involve God in the conversation?
How about making sure that the people you are working with aren't going to bail out on you at the first sign of trouble?
Let me in on a little secret... Drinking buddies all scatter when you stop drinking!
They are not your real friends.

God will never leave you and He will never forsake you!
He is a true friend and that is all that He asks of you.

I hope this blessed you today!

G.O.Y.A., and Merry Christmas!

Would You Risk Your Life For Your Brother?

An American Hero

Master Sergeant Raul (Roy) Perez Benavidez (August 5, 1935 – November 29, 1998) received the Medal of Honor for his actions in combat near Lộc NinhSouth Vietnam on May 2, 1968.

Please Watch This Video
And Learn From An American Hero!

If you took the time to listen to this video in its entirety, you would know that Master Sgt. Roy Benavidez knows a thing or two about laying down your life for your brother. During his speech, as he went over the actions that took place on that fateful day in his life, he recalled that in addition to the American wounded soldiers that he loaded onto the helicopter evac, he also loaded three NVA soldiers that had been killed.

Sgt. Benavides was so wounded and covered in blood when they took him out of the helicopter that they laid him on the ground next to the deceased enemy. As the men were loading the bodies into the body bags and they came to Sgt. Benavides, he was unable to protest or show that he was not dead but he was alive! Jerry Cottonham was yelling, "that's Roy, that's Roy Benavides!" The doctor said, "I'm sorry. There is nothing I can do for him." Sgt. Benavides described how he could feel his legs being inserted into the body bag and could hear the zipper coming up and he said, "Oh my God! No! No!", but he had blood dried up in his eye lids and he couldn't talk because his jaws were locked up. Jerry urged the doctor to put his hand on Sgt. Benevides chest to feel for a heartbeat. It was at that time that Sgt. Benavides said, "I made the luckiest shot I ever made in my life, I spit in the doctors face. So the doctor says, I think he'll make it." This gave the proof of life that he so needed! Without that act, it is highly likely that Sgt. Benavides would have died inside that body bag and we would not have been able to hear him speak.

How many of you are laying on the ground right now, wounded and covered in blood from the fight that has been your life? How many of you are being loaded into the bodybag and can hear the zipper as it closes up and says that your life is over? How many of you have heard the words come from the doctor's mouth that are, "I'm sorry. There is nothing I can do for you." I want you to know that it is not over yet! You have a friend who is fighting for your life! Your friend is reaching out to pull you out of the bodybag and back into the life that God has for you. If this is the last moment and the zipper is coming up on the bodybag to confirm that you are dead, are you going to let them finish the job or are you ready to spit in their face?

John 15:13

"Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends."

Master Sgt. Roy Benavides did not get on the helicopter that day in order to give up and die. He went out into the field and fought with every ounce of strength that God gave him to save lives and to stay alive. He did everything that was necessary to fight for life and for his brothers! At the moment of truth, when the doctor had given up on him and he was unable to speak for himself, there was a friend there interceding for Roy. When the doctor who had given up on Roy felt that spit hit his face, he knew that there was life and fight left in that man!

Jesus laid down His life so that you can live. He went to the cross and died. He went into the cave for three days, but He came back out and rose from the dead. Through His death and resurrection, we can be saved! Once we accept the sacrifice that Jesus made for us, we spit in the face of the enemy and tell him that we will never die, but we will have eternal life with our Father God, our Brother Jesus and The Holy Spirit!!! That is the greatest honor of all! Our salvation is and should be the Medal of Honor and no one and nothing can ever take it away from us.

My brothers and sisters, don't let the enemy put you in a body bag before your time. Fight with every ounce of strength to live the life that God has given you and to do it according to his plan. Don't believe the lies of the enemy. You are not dead yet.

The last name of Master Sgt. Roy Benavides, when translated into Spanish means good life. That is what God has for us! So when the enemy is trying to kill us and steal from us and destroy us, we will spit in the eye and say not me, not today. I choose to have life and the life of abundance!
Thank you to Master Sgt. Roy Benevides for the bravery that you displayed on the battlefield in Vietnam. Thank you to all of our servicemen who have fought the good fight for the freedom that we have in our country! God bless you and God bless America!
Keep Calm, Love God and G.O.Y.A.,

Preacher has Liquor at Birthday Party!

Preacher Knows How To Throw a Party

December 28th is not the best day to celebrate a birthday, but we don't get to choose which day to be born, do we? Anyone who has a birthday in December will tell you, they have experienced the Christmas/birthday gift, the Christmas card with Merry Christmas scratched out and happy birthday written in its place, or perhaps their birthday has been completely forgotten. My wife is one of those people.

One year, when I was a firefighter and working on shift, we had a really busy day with multiple car accidents and I know at least one house fire. At 12:15 that night, which was really 12:15 in the morning of December 29th, I realized that I had not even said happy birthday to my wife. I called, woke her up, and apologized. She was great about it, but I know that it really hurt. Ever since that day, I have really tried to make her birthday a special event each year.

This year was exceptionally great! I started working on the party for Donel in October. I found an awesome private venue called, "My Special Occasions" and secured one of the greatest DJs I know, Dominick Claus.

We had the option of having a bartender at no extra charge, so the decision was made to inform the guests that it would be a B.Y.O.B. party. We also wanted our children to be able to enjoy the party with us.

One day, while taking a ride with my mother, we were talking about the party and we decided to go to Spec's liquor store and pick up a few bottles. Just some basics for our table in case someone came to the party and didn't have anything to drink. Mostly we got flavored vodkas like root beer float and birthday cake! It was not exactly the normal bar set up.

After literally hours of planning and setting up, the party got started. I placed the liquor from the store and everything else I could find in my house on the bar. When my mother and her husband arrived with some of her friends, she decided that we did not have enough food and also did not have enough liquor. At that point, she handed me her credit card, and told me to go to Barcenas Mexican Restaurant down the street and order enough food for everyone. She also sent me to the liquor store with a long list of needed bottles of liquor and wine!

Now there is two ways that you can look at this type of situation. I could've been offended that all the hard work that I put in was not good enough for my mother or I could be grateful that she was going to use her resources to make our party that much better. I chose the latter!

Now you know the details, so I want to answer the question in your head that is, "Why would a preacher have an open bar at a party that he is throwing?"

My answer is, "Why not?"

Children were not allowed to drink any alcohol at the party and I believe that the adults have the right to choose for themselves whether they would or would not drink and how much. Even though we had a fully stocked open bar at the party, we did not have any problems with anyone getting drunk and acting the fool at the party.

I later found out that only one person who was at the party drank to much and got belligerent on the way home. Guess who isn't getting an invite next time!

We now have four boxes full of alcohol that we will never drink. As a matter of fact, I am going to load the whole kit and caboodle into the minivan and carry it down to my mother's house, so that she and her friends can enjoy it.

As for me, I had a few drinks at the party, but it really didn't do that much for me. I am beginning to believe that drinking alcohol is really just a waste of time. I think that comes with age.

I can tell you one thing, that Mexican food was absolutely awesome. I ate enchiladas for four days after the party and the food was delicious every time!

So, I have to say thank you to my mother, to Donna and Paul who own "My Special Occasion," and to DJ Dominick who is truly an international DJ. Also thank you to my friends Alex and Miriam who were there with me helping set up and thank you to wonderful Valerie for bringing the birthday girl to the ball! Lastly, Thank you to all of the wonderful people who love Donel and decided to celebrate her birthday with us!

It was so great to see my wife truly celebrating her birthday in style. There was so much dancing and I know that is what Donel loves to do. Many of her students, who love her dearly, were at the party and on the dance floor celebrating with Donel as they danced to the THB Dance Fitness routines that Donel created.

Would I or will I have liquor, beer or wine at a future event?
 Absolutely!

Keep Calm, Love God and G.O.Y.A.,
